Anand Agricultural University is located in the western Indian state of Gujarat between the cities of Vadodara and Ahmedabad. This was formerly the Anand Campus of Gujarat Agricultural University, which is now independent. It has three constituent colleges, for agriculture, veterinary science and animal husbandry and dairy science. The jurisdiction of the university covers Kheda, Anand, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Dahod and Panchmahal districts. It was set up to provide education support to the farming community in areas such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Engineering, Information technology and Business Studies. The university aims to promote development in rural areas through education, research and support services.HistoryAnand Agricultural University was previously a part of Gujarat Agricultural University, a benchmark project initiated by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and K. M.Munshi by incorporating Krushi-Go-Vidhya Bhavan or the Institute of Agriculture, in 1938. The Institute was popularly known as Khetiwadi; it became part of Gujarat Agricultural University in 1972.

Sardar Patel College of Engineering is an engineering college in India. It is located in Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai. It is affiliated to University of Mumbai and offers graduate and post-graduate degrees in engineering. It is supported by government funds, and was granted autonomous status by the UGC in June 2010.HistorySPCE was founded in 1962 and inaugurated by the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. The college started with three disciplines of engineering - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Computer Engineering and Electronics were started in 1995, Information Technology (IT) in 1998 and Electronics & Telecommunication in 2005. These three courses were privately funded by the college management whereas the Civil, Mechanical and Electrical courses are provided funds by the government.Mumbai University recognized the college as two separate institutions - SPCE (Aided) offering Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering courses and SPCE (Unaided) offering Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science courses. The unaided section was formally separated from its parent college in 2005. However, the day-to-day operations of the two institutions is often a joint effort as they share some common facilities. The students of the two colleges mingle freely in extracurricular activities and share the same campus and hostel facilities.
