Mar Baselious Mar Gregorious Orthodox Syrian Church (Poruvazhy Pally) build on AD 1914 with almost 100 families . After a few years the church cannot accommodate the number of members. In order to accompany that a new church building project started on 1966 and completed by 1975. The family members of the church has been considerably increased on the yester years and the pothuyogam decided to reconstruct the church again. That structure have been kept for end of 2010 and now the renovation project is going on.The renovation project will be completed within next three years. The hundred year old church is now most famous in Kollam diocese. The 450 families belong church now owned a parish hall, Sunday School,LP School,5 Kurisady,Balasamajam,MGOCSM,Youth League,Altar Shrushushakasangam,Aardhratha Charity,Marthamariya Samajam,Fasting Prayers,St.Pauls Suvisheshaka Sangam,Prayer Groups. Also many services going on with the day to day programs of church. Late H.H Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II and Late Mathews Mar Ephiphanios , came and visit here since they belong to Kollam diocese Metropolitans. We remembered fondly their contributions for our church. Also our parish Zachariah Mar Anthonios(Metropolitan of the Kollam Diocese) guiding the church for all activities.The church stands of our spiritual growth and development. Since a very large parish, on most of the days, there will be Holy Mass, in connection with remembrances, baptisms, marriages
