There were no funds or staff, and no school buildings. Miss Oliphant recruited another retired English lady, Miss Grace Mary Linnell to run the boarding school for girls. Miss Linnell became the Founder-Principal of Welham Girls School. Under Miss Linnell’s guidance Welham Girls High School, as it was known then, established itself as a boarding school.In 1956 Ms Oliphant donated all her assets to the Welham Boys' School which presently is administered by a Board of Trustees. Mr. S.K. X will lead to the awarding of THSLC (Technical High School Leaving Certificate) of the Board of Public Examinations, Kerala. B. T.H.S.C. (HIGHER SECONDARY) There are two groups in the Technical Higher Secondary course viz., Physical Science and Integrated Science In the Physical Science group, the technical subjects are Computer Information Technology and Electronics Service Technology. Life Science is not included in the Physical Science group. The Integrated Science group includes Life Science instead of one of the vocational subjects viz., Electronics Service Technology. NCERT Syllabus is followed in the Technical Higher Secondary Course. For standard XI, internal examination is conducted and the successful completion of standard XII leads to the award of HSLC.
